a cup can hold a thousand drinks.

Inspired by the pictures in my previous two entries, I have chosen the topic of "A day in the life of a Solo Cup." These party cups must have some interesting experiences. Every weekend I see them, king of the parties; filled up, knocked over, thrown out. They are everywhere. I will easily be able to capture these objects "at their best" this weekend at various spots around campus. I feel that a lot of shots I already have will benefit me in my shoot but it is pertinent that I capture some people in a few of my photos. I can imagine a picture of a group of people, all holding solo cups in their hands. I imagine the shot up close to the people's hands, with no faces, and the background semi blurred out. Another shot I am hoping to get, although it may be hard to capture, is a spill in the midst. Spills happen quite often, so I am hoping I will be able to spot a spill before it occurs and catch it. For my lead photo I may just have a picture of a Solo Cup, filled up, a little shifted to the side. I want the lead photo to invoke thought, but I want to maintain the simplicity of the topic, after all it is just a cup.
