Red Solo Cup (let's have a party..?)

I feel that this picture is a good example of the "rule of thirds." The cup is without a doubt the main focus of the picture but it is not in the center of the photo, making the picture all together more interesting and eye catching. A photo with the object in the center is considered static, this photo is not static because the object is in the upper-left.

This picture captures "simplicity." The cup has very little competition with regards to the background. The only aspects that may cause the eye to wander are the shadow and the slight black sliver on the left side of the picture.

This photo captures the idea of lines and leading lines. The lines made by the brink make an interesting but not too distracting background. The lines from the brink as well as the stairs and the railing all create leading lines that lead the eye to the cup.

This last photo is another example of lines and leading lines. Again all the lines from the brink force the eye to the main object, the cup. This picture also captures the idea of framing. While it is not exactly a perfect frame, the corner combined with the meeting of the floor and the wall creates a sort of frame for our very worn out solo cup.
